THAI CAVE RESCUE HOOYAH!: From gross Darkness to light is a diary of events based on the 18-day ordeal of 13 members wild boar football team deep inside the flooded Tham Luang cave and the daring rescue fueled by hope, bravery, perseverance, resilience, generosity, expertise, and love against all odds amidst race against time and water. Operation Thai Cave Rescue would become the tale for every human, to tell for eternity. Daring divers, selfless farmers, the volunteers cooking food, washing gears and pumping water, praying hearts, the calm kids, their coach, kids' parents and the entire human race! Man, this is humanity at its best. The Thailand cave rescue is an utterly admirable human moment. The extraordinary international effort to find and rescue 12 boys and their coach from a remote cave in northern Thailand was watched closely by millions. The boys themselves, with their coach’s encouragement, have shown extraordinary fortitude. At a moment of rising division, the rescue has been a model of international collaboration. US military personnel, British rescue experts, and specialists from China, Australia, and Japan have worked alongside the Thai authorities and people. In an era of greed, many involved are unpaid volunteers. In an age of narcissism, they have shunned the spotlight. Perhaps this story will remind us to focus more on our ability to pool knowledge, expertise, compassion, and heroism in response to human need. Perhaps this can inspire us to apply these same qualities to the rescue of the thousands of children separated from their parents in a labyrinth of bureaucracy and ideology.
