Defining Characteristics: 

• An epiphytic climbing vine, stems tightly grab onto trees or other vertical surfaces
• Grown in popularity in recent years because of its unique perforations in the leaves
• Hardy plant that grows well indoors

Care Notes: Grows well in a hanging basket where it will drape over the sides of its pot. This plant will require sturdy support such as a moss pole or gardening stake if you want it to climb. 

 *Monstera adansonii, Swiss Cheese Plants, are mildly toxic to both humans and pets as all parts of the plant contain calcium oxalate crystals. We deem this plant safe for use with the above animals, but the more risk-averse may wish to avoid it
